BOATING PERMITS
Boating shall be permitted on the lakes from one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset.
Only boats of safe and substantial type and structure shall be allowed on the lake. Only row boats, sailboats, and electrically propelled boats will be permitted on the lakes. No gasoline propelled boats are permitted.
Motors with open exhausts are prohibited from the lakes at all times.
Any person desiring to place a boat upon the lakes, either for regular or temporary use, shall secure a permit and decal.
Permits and decals shall be issued for a two-year period beginning January first of each odd-numbered year; however, a permit and a decal fee of one-half the two-year rate shall be collected on such boat during the period January 1 through December 31 of the second year of a permit period. The decal shall be affixed to the boat on the left side of the bow not more than two (2) inches below the gunwale.
HOW TO PURCHASE A BOATING DECAL AND PERMIT:
Boating decals and permits can be purchased at the Town Treasurer's Office at 400 South Main Street, Suite 109, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Boating decal and permit Prices: $50 and is valid for two years.
